The first Animorph book that I haven‘t given 5 stars… The story was kind of weak in this one. Mostly we follow Cassie‘s struggle with whether what they‘re doing is morally right or not. An incident with a termite colony has her questioning if she‘s no better than a Yeerk. I don‘t see how she can be confused, but it does cause the story to touch on conservation issues and humanity‘s role in saving the planet.

Did anybody read the Animorphs series while growing up? It was a middle grade sci-fi series about a group of kids who could turn into different animals. It had weird covers but the actual books were wild. I remember one in which a dude turned into a bird and then couldn't go back to his human form, so he started living like an actual bird and survived on roadkill. This was some of the tamer stuff. Sadly, I couldn't read beyond book 10 or so.

RaimeyGallant I remember the books, but they came out when I was in my early 20s I think. 6y
Naj I think the first book came out in the late 90s. It's quite an old series. I remember reading it first around early 2000's 6y
