Goldie Locks Has Chicken Pox
Goldie Locks Has Chicken Pox | Erin Dealey
2 posts | 2 read
Goldie Locks has chicken pox; from head to toe were polka dots.... When Goldie Locks spies her first spot, her mother knows it must be chicken pox. Soon after, a steady stream of storybook favorites -- including the Three Bears and Little Bo Peep -- stop by to wish Goldie Locks a speedy recovery. But how will Goldie get well when her little brother just won't stop teasing her?

This silly rhyming story is about the well known, Goldie Locks, who catches the Chicken Pox! This story intertwines various beloved nursery rhyme characters. “Goldie Locks Has Chicken Pox” would make a fun RT! Students would find this story engaging and funny, while connecting with the characters that make appearances throughout the book! I would use UDL principle 3.2(highlight patterns, critical features, big ideas, and relationships.)

TabathaA Another one I am adding to my list. It looks very cute and addresses an issue that we are likely to experience while teaching elementary school students. There is a multitude of lessons you can work into this as well - possibly doing a compare and contrast to the original Goldie Locks and the Three Bears. I also love the thought of creating and acting out an RT. 3y
DrSpalding What a great version of this classic traditional literature piece. Readers theater is such a wonderful teaching strategy and you found a quality resource! Make sure to expand on these resources. 3y
DrSpalding I also love your image! Thank you for using your creativity! 3y

A twist on traditional fairy tales, #fractured fairy tales are fun and can be teaching tools for kids. These picture books sound just like that, make me want to read them too!
