Mehso-so

Part 2 in this serial killer miniseries is disappointing compared to the first book. John Marin somehow escapes custody and immediately goes after the Wakefield family again, who are spending a week on Catalina Island to recuperate with their near-death experience in the last book. This book just dragged and dragged, and may I say, Ned Wakefield is the world‘s worst protector! In the 1st book, he didn‘t even tell them about Marin so they would ⬇️

JenlovesJT47 Know to be on guard and watch their backs. Shame on you, Ned! Here, he makes one bad decision after another, culminating in the Sweet Valley version of Cape Fear at the climax of the book. Sigh. I really enjoyed the 1st book but this one was painful to get through. 2.5⭐️ 4y
JenlovesJT47 5 Sweet Valley books for the week is not bad!! 4y
