Lustlocked: A Sin du Jour Affair | Matt Wallace
11 posts | 9 read | 3 to read
The staff of New York's premier supernatural catering company, has their work cut out for them in this outrageous follow-up to Envy of Angels. Love is in the air at Sin du Jour. The Goblin King (yes, that one) and his Queen are celebrating the marriage of their son to his human bride. Naturally the celebrations will be legendary. But when desire and magic mix, the results can be unpredictable. Our heroes are going to need more than passion for the job to survive the catering event of the decade! Praise for Sin du Jour: "Funny and demented . . . I'll read anything this guy writes." Chuck Wendig, author of Blackbirds and Zer0es, on Envy of Angels "No one makes me think, 'Dammit, I should have thought of that!' like Matt Wallace. The Sin du Jour series is something I read with equal amounts of envy and delight." Mur Lafferty, Campbell Award winning author of The Shambling Guide to New York City

A Goblin royal wedding (dude...the king and queen totally make sense once you figure it out), a ginormous cake made of diamonds, a spell gone awry, and some amorous lizards. These are just a few key elements in book two of the Sin du Jour series. A catering company where the customers and cuisine are literally out of this world. Loving these novellas!

It has been... an extraordinarily rough day for reasons I can‘t quite articulate.

So I‘m outside trying out the new pillows for the swing.

Curiouser_and_curiouser Lovely pillows 😍🤩😍 5y

I'm not entirely sure what happened but I love it. A goblin royal wedding goes a bit wrong. This series is ridiculous and chaotic and brilliant.

Not even midnight so unfortunately I can't describe it as being #ItsSoLateItsEarly but I am doing my before-sleep reading. I'm enjoying this series!

Only allowing myself one chapter because I'm so tired. Trying to fix my sleep pattern yet again.

I liked this a bit more than the first novella, but that's because the world and characters are (mostly) settled and the focus is more on the plot. Also: Boosha's probably now my favorite not-so-human urban fantasy grandma ever :D.

My sense of humor has very, VERY low standards sometimes, it appears. And is also rather morbid, if I find the idea of being fucked to death funny enough to warrant a chuckle.

Getting bogged down by Masks and Shadows, so jumping over to this one for a little while. Hopefully this'll help pick my mood up a bit.
