The Shortest Way Home
The Shortest Way Home: A Novel | Juliette Fay
6 posts | 4 read | 4 to read
A NOVEL FULL OF HUMOR AND HOPE FOR FINDING YOURSELF WHERE YOU LEAST EXPECTED Sean has spent twenty years in Third World war zones and natural disaster areas, fully embracing what he’d always felt was his life’s mission. But when burnout sets in, Sean is reluctantly drawn home to Belham, Massachusetts, the setting of Fay’s much-loved Shelter Me. There, he discovers that his steely aunt, overly dramatic sister, and quirky nephew are having a little natural disaster of their own. When he reconnects with a woman from his past, Sean has to wonder if the bonds of love and loyalty might just rewrite his destiny. Completely relatable, The Shortest Way Home is another perfect serving of a slice of life from the irresistible Fay. Winner of the Library Journal Award for Best Women's Fiction

I‘m really enjoying my current book. It was just what I needed after having a bad reaction to medication. I‘m feeling better now and am enjoying my night reading. #Booknerd #BookAddict #HappyReading

I‘m not that thrilled with the husband‘s movie choice. It‘s time for headphones and my book. #weekendread #booknerd #bookaddict #bookaddiction

The Wine and Book Club I belong to became a drinking club. My daughter suggested the local library book club. I‘m super happy with my decision to join and with their selections. #WeekendRead #BookNerd #BookAddiction #Bookaddict

This book is a keeper, about a guy who returns home after working as a nurse in assorted humanitarian crises. He needs to help with his elderly aunt and parent-less nephew. I enjoyed it all the way to the end.
