He learned that the meaning and purpose of life is to love one another. It is written with Christian terminology but is universally applicable in its essential points.

Louise @MrBook I have a friend who met the author years ago and asked him to tell him the story again. My friend said his most poignant memory from that conversation was the warm light of love that shone from this man's eyes and, indeed, from his whole demeanor. George Ritchie said many people have never been truly "seen" exactly as they are and without judgment. He became a psychiatrist so that he could give that experience to others and help them heal. 8y
