pickThis was my last read in February, it a historical crime fiction and the first in a super series. I have already read the next 4 books. Daniel Wilson ex Scotland Yard is now a private investigater and is hired by the Fitzwilliam to investigate a murder. Then comes Abgail Fenton, studied archaeology and they end up pairing together to find the culprit.
so-soDaniel Wilson made a name for himself as part of Inspector Abberline's team hunting Jack the Ripper. Now he is called to the Fitzwilliam Museum in Cambridge when a (recent) body is found in a sarcophagus. Daniel enlists the help of Abigail Fenton, a classicist who catalogues artifacts for the museum as the body count adds up.
Set in 1894, this was enjoyable though there were a number of irrelevant plot lines that seemed to just be dropped.
so-soI read this in about an hour, it is easy fluff. The writing is okay and the plot is okay. It is quite tropey particularly when it comes to the female characters.
