pickReminded me a bit of the Pink Carnation series by Lauren Willig, just less humorous. Loved the time period and the inclusion of the war in Spain and Napoleonic issues. Very easy to read, and definitely a bit dramatic with excellent twists and reveals, which always conveniently occurred at the end of a chapter. Great emotional depth in the characters, and good tension. Didn't know it was the eleventh book in a series, might need to read more.

Ever run across one of those books that is so full of twists and surprises that it actually makes you tired trying to keep up?! 😄 This book took me longer to read than normal and not just because it was 460+ pgs. Lots of action, lots of emotions, and I ended it still not sure how I feel about the H/h. Will read more of series for sure. 4/5 #romantsy #osrbc

pickPretty good! I had a hard time getting started with this one, but by chapter three I was hooked. One of the few that really surprised me in the end.
