The Big Book of Cidermaking is a must-have for anyone who wants to get started making cider or expand beyond cider basics. Filled with sections about equipment and ingredients, the “Master Process,“ and recipes for six different types of ciders, this “Big Book“ will certainly remain a valuable resource in my cidermaking journey.

I loved Get a Life, Chloe Brown, so I had high expectations for Take a Hint. And ya'll, this was the perfect combination of sweet, romantic, and sexy. I loved romance-reading Zafir and workaholic Dani.

I'll be anxiously awaiting Eve's story!

CWs: family death and mourning, lots of sex, anxiety/panic attacks, fatphobia, racism

The Jane Austen Society | Natalie Jenner
Mehso-so

Jane Austen fans and readers will enjoy this novel set in post-war Chawton and filled with Austen's legacy. Astute readers will notice bits of each of Jane's stories in the characters.

I consider myself an “Austenite“ and wanted to love this book, but it fell flat in so many areas. Jenner took time on the page to build her characters but overall, they were uninspiring and one-dimensional. Moreover, it left the resolution rushed and choppy.

Full of information on various plant varieties, “Houseplants For All“ also details tips on finding the right light in your home without the use of a light meter, humidity troubleshooting, and pet-safe plants.

“Houseplants For All“ is easy to understand and is perfect for any houseplant enthusiast. I am so pleased to have had the opportunity to read this book!

8little_paws oohh! I could use this book. I love the look of plants in a home but I am very clueless how to properly care for them. 4y

Emily Henry's writing is sarcastic, smart, and wildly entertaining. The relationships and characters are not one-dimensional cutouts and the tension and emotion are real. Henry's inclusion of the cult storyline was perfect for someone *points at myself* who is fascinated by cults. My only complaint: The cover absolutely did not fit the story.

Thanks to NetGalley and Berkley Publishing for providing me with this in exchange for an honest review.

How to Catch an Errant Earl | Amy Rose Bennett
Pickpick

How to Catch an Errant Earl was exactly what I needed to get me excited about reading again. Amy Rose Bennett's writing is so wonderful and witty. As a voracious reader of historical romance in this era, I knew how the story would evolve before I even started reading, but Ms. Bennett kept it so fresh and humorous. I read this one over the course of a couple of days, but easily could have devoured it in an afternoon if I had the chance.

With much of the action taking place in autopsy rooms, fans of forensics will enjoy this book. I liked this different take on the typical cop detective story. Some more squeamish readers may not like the somewhat graphic descriptions of autopsy procedures. I also did not like that the book was very clearly set up for a sequel and that some of the story was not resolved.

Team W has done it again! I really enjoyed this multi-generational tale set in France during WWI, WWII, and the 1960s. and filled with strong women, a mystery to keep you reading, and sweeping family sagas. The transitions between writers were so seamless, I could never tell when one author stopped and another started. This story will truly transport you.

Part old-fashioned mystery novel, part appreciation of popular mystery tropes, part celebration of some of the best crime and mystery novels of the genre. This is a book for those who appreciate the thrill of the chase and the many twists that arise. It's ideal for a lazy day stuck inside. It's such a quick and exciting read, you'll devour it in one sitting.

CW/TW: stalking, assault, doxing, mentions of sexual assault

This book is both a celebration and condemnation of gaming culture. Don't Read the Comments gave me serious Earnest Cline vibes. While I liked this book, it was hard to get through. There is a lot of fun gameplay, but there are also a lot of heavy topics (see CWs above) that make this more difficult.

Everywhere You Don't Belong is a heartbreaking debut novel that fools you with simplistic prose. The emotional complexity sneaks up on you in lyrical prose that reads more like a series of short stories. The anticipation and excitement builds to a frenetic, surreal frenzy and you can't imagine putting it down. Easily finished in an afternoon of binge reading.

The Daughters of Temperance Hobbs picks up several years after The Physick Book of Deliverance Dane (one of my all-time favorite books) ends. While this book contains most of the same characters and settings and refers back to the previous book frequently, it is easily enjoyed as a stand-alone novel. Full of vivid, rich historical accounts of Colonial America, botany, and all things witchy, this is a book I will read again and again!

Another wonderful Jenny Colgan! I recommend her books to readers at my library pretty frequently and they always seem to hit the mark with readers. While this is the second in the Scottish Bookshop series, it could be read, and enjoyed, without reading the first. The Bookshop on the Shore is a wonderful story and I can't wait to see what's up next from Jenny Colgan!

When I saw that Crouch has a new book out soon, I had to read it. I was not disappointed! If you're a fan of Dark Matter (how could you not be), you'll enjoy this book. Crouch explores memory, time, and what it means, and costs, to get a second chance. You'll want to read this one, again and again, not only to fully grasp the science but because it's honestly that good. I was given this book by the publisher and Netgalley in exchange for a review.

This is a quirky book with a familiar cozy mystery format. While charming, some readers may be turned off by the many Austen quotes peppering each page.

With just the right amount of red-herrings and suspense (and just a little romance thrown in), Pride, Prejudice and Poison is the perfect book to read with a cup of strong tea at home.

I was so very disappointed by this book. After watching, and loving, the PBS series, I sought out this book. I had to force myself to finish it. Poor writing; the author's superior attitude, not only towards her patients, but also her friends and coworkers; a gratuitous sex scene that served no purpose...all worked against the book. 👎

Mdargusch Thanks for the heads up. I will just enjoy the tv show then. 7y

I hate giving a thumbs down on a book that could have been so freaking good! But I honestly struggled with this one. I finished it out of pure stubbornness. This book really drug; it could have been 200-300 pages shorter and still told an effective story. I found it difficult to really bond with any of the characters. I continually lost interest. I put it down for a couple weeks, thinking that I just needed a break. Finally finished. Thumbs down.

This is probably going to be an unpopular opinion and I'm prepared for the inevitable shunning....but I was decidedly underwhelmed by this book. Help help help! I'm looking for a book I can't remember the name of! It's in the sci-fi/fantasy arena about a princess and her bodyguard who doesn't like her. She convinces him to go look for something and they start to like each other. I know I've seen it somewhere recently, but I can't remember where!!!

**EDIT** I FOUND IT!!!!!! And the description was totally wrong.... lol B&N didn't have it, but I consoled myself with two other new books ;)
