This one was quite different from the series so far, involving bad guys from outside the Peak district. Surprising.

For my trip to the park I thought I‘d head off to England, and the Peak District National #Park , although need to be careful as appears to be a lot of murderers about! But still we have Ben Cooper and Diane Fry on the case.
I do enjoy this Detective series and the ‘interesting‘ relationship that is Ben and Diane.

One Last Breath is book five in the series and where it all started for me.

First time reader of this author, and I can only say it was good at first the petered off to boring.

Not too many books set nearby, but this is one book and series #setnearwhereyoulive.. Quite a different but enjoyable detective series.

The dog and I were both terrified by a 5-6 foot long black snake in the back yard. I even avoid book covers with snakes on the cover because I am so scared of them.

Could have chosen any book in the Ben Copper and Diane Fry series but this would be my main entry for #ruralsetting , these are usually set in the Peak District National Park in England.
Also The Inspector Banks books by Peter Robinson, most of these have a rural setting in North Yorkshire.
