Impromptu purchase? Oh hey, how have you guys been????
Hello Litsy!! It‘s been awhile. Connecting back into The Feed with a new audiobook.
I think these need to come home with me. Never enough time to read, but when has that EVER mattered? 🙃
Bar reads. Hubby let me escape from the kids, so I impulse shopped at B&N. Enjoying this so far with a cocktail.
Hooked.
Tuesday‘s Book because it‘s taking me forever to progress through Six Four. I‘ve listened to three hours in 3 weeks.
Theme: I‘m tired and my kids don‘t let me read all the books.
What are you all picking up today?
Finishing this up... finally. Five million stars 🌟!! 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩
Pre-order downloaded today!! Who else is picking this up?
So.. I‘ve been super busy the last couple of months. Preparing for baby, a move, AND working on my new blog!! It would mean the world if you guys would check it out. https://beautecontessa.com/books
I have a few sections up already. Comment with your thoughts and the types of posts you‘d like to read! 🙏🏾
Shining Girls wasn‘t working out. So, It Devours! May be my first book of 2018. 🙂
Absolutely thrilled I got a signed copy during B&N Black Friday sale. I loved this book and waited to be the hardcover. ❤️
Litsy!! I‘ve been away for so long. Life has been happening 😥 I wanted to like this MORE, but the way she wrote Boris was awful! The broken English approach was executed poorly in my opinion. The audiobook narrator had a terrible fake accent. It was god awful. The overall style and cast of unlikable characters was classic Tartt. 3.5 stars! Would reread, but not anytime soon. (Paperback/audio)
Today‘s absolutely unnecessary book purchase.

🌻Always loved it!
The last few months have been terrible reading months. I don‘t think I‘ve finished more than one book in two months. I haven‘t started any either.
At least I‘ve finally made some real progress on The Goldfinch. 56% complete.
This wasn't a 5 star read as I'd hoped. Leonie was the most interesting part of the novel for me. I don't know what it's like to have a drug addicted family member. Her character was well-developed. We understood her pain and her past. Jesmyn made her MORE than just a "junkie" or a "terrible mother" and I appreciated that. People judge addicts harshly in our society. It's important not to dehumanize them. Overall 4 ⭐️stars!
I'm halfway through this novel and I like it so far. Anyone else reading it? How do you feel about it?
🍂 I love fall makeup, books, weather, and low utility bills.
🍂 Sweaters, scarfs, and boots!!
🍂Also I'm a fall baby 👶🏾
Posted this ultra late. I've been processing a recent loss 💔. Tagged by @Buddys_Momma 👋🏾! Here are my #fivestarpredictions (hope I picked good). @Baronessbree @rohit @bedandabook @Nataska @Darumaron Apologies if I've tagged you & you've already done it.
I'm upset that I haven't been able to read and spend time on Litsy. I miss you guys!!
My #TBRbingo is mostly books I own. 😁 Trying to work my way through them.
I'm having a difficult time finishing this. So I'm just going to stop. No more.
I'm telling you Litsy. I'm the next influential voice in publishing. I'm blurbing all the books. Writing stellar reviews. Promoting my book release. Events. Parties. Big corner office. Talk shows. The whole nine! (Kidding. They're just showing love to my tweets) Hey! It's well deserved praise and I will forever freely give it. No strings attached.

Themis Files number 3 next Spring! *hyperventilating with excitement*
For the last time Litsy, name is Marlene Clinton! I don't know this Reese_Pearly.Pages person you speak of. You can generate yours at welcometotheblinds.com
I'm a bit behind on my library books and arc's. I think I'll start here..
In the spirit of not being productive at work. Here are 10 lies I tell myself. Repost your top 10 lies with the hashtag #TodayWillBeDifferent. 😁
21. Listening to Oasis and typing pretty lists is generally frowned upon during work hours. 22. This was hard to write. 😅
Should I come back for book 2? "Nah." Would I say this a must-read? "Nah." It's no secret I generally don't like books with multiple POVs. This just wasn't a great book. Too many people and not a fan of the type of "romance" the Fuller's pursued. ?? ??⭐️⭐️
Me considering DNF this. I'm so close to the end though..
Leaked photo of me trying to figure out why the hell Leda keeps apologizing to Avery.. It's none of her business. Period. This is the kind of YA book that makes me roll my eyes sooooo hard. Damn teenagers.
My primary #Readinghabits include 😒dispensing a range of dirty looks to anyone who disturbs me 📚leaving stacks of books everywhere! 💸 secretly buying ebooks on sale. 🎧listening to audiobook companions to print.
Decided to read a nonfiction book this month. I didn't know anything about Juan Francisco Manzano, but I enjoyed this short biography. May check to see if any of his work has been translated. 🙂
Starting a new job has left little time and energy to read anything. So this collection of what ambition means to various women on the inside cover is exciting and oddly satisfying.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ How on earth am I supposed to wait another year for the next book?
Almost halfway done and the pace of book two is just as great as the first. Which we all know.. how difficult sequels and disappointing can be.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️✨ Poetic and beautifully written. The audio was great! Definitely, a book I would recommend and reread.
