Just awful.

It‘s just a load of gibberish about building a lift to other planets, which goes horribly wrong at the end.

I wouldn‘t have even said there was much storyline at all, I would have DNF but it‘s only 250 pages so I soldiered on. Would not recommend.

RamsFan1963 One of my favorite Clarke novels. I remember when it came out, and Charles Sheffield released a novel called The Web Between The Worlds almost at the same time. Similar ideas, but very different approaches. 5y
