I enjoyed this book a lot. Great firefighting drama combined with a sweet and not too dramatic love story was just what I needed. I just wish the ending wasn‘t so abrupt. An epilogue would have helped tie things up.

Rick is an upstairs tenant to an older couple and a Boston firefighter. When the owners of the house realize they need to make some decisions their granddaughter, Jessica, arrives from San Diego.

Lauren_reading Jessica only knew her grandparents through horrible stories from her father, but she starts to see they aren‘t the awful people her father has described and she wants to help them, but she‘s also developed feelings for Rick, even though her life is on the other side of the country. 5y

Always a sucker for a #Boston-based story, especially when they get the details and/or the spirit of a place right. Great second book by @shannonstacey the series funny coworker rather than a sibling of a MC in the first book was a nice change. Only flaw for me was the very abrupt ending #romance #romantsy

I love Stacey‘s Kowalski series, but this Boston Fire book didn‘t work for me. A firefighter falls for a California girl who sweeps into his life w/no intention to stay. Heroine apparently gives up on her high powered career for a chance at love. I say apparently because of a rushed/unclear ending.
