⭐⭐⭐⭐
What an adventure! This #Nonfiction story is such a wild ride (no pun intended) with so much historical context to help you understand why these 3 men felt compelled to make this illegal and historical speed run.
Highly recommend. Grua, Reynolds, & Petschek are true legends of the canyon.

An adventure in, and history of, the Grand Canyon. Romantically connects you to the middle of the country, if for some reason you find yourself there!

Three men decide, hey there's a massive crisis at Glen Canyon forcing engineers to shoot a lot of water into the Colorado River. Let's take a wooden boat and see how fast we can row it through the Grand Canyon. An adventure is born. Great characters and backstory. A little verbose, but a good read

I can only wish the Grand Canyon was in the background. Instead, I'll have to content myself with work parking lot. A little overly verbose, but I love backstory and the desert and the west, so I'll keep going with this one.
