Behavioral economics is one of my favorite subjects to study. Ariely does a great job condensing hefty intellectual observations into an enjoyable reading experience that leaves you feeling smarter. I highly recommend this book to anyone wanting to better understand humanity.

This book addresses our divisions in a very calm and calculated manner.
Anyone who's willing to consider the opinions and beliefs of others will benefit from this book. If you're not willing then it's not for you.
I did find the amount of time spent on Evolution a bit excessive and unnecessary.
I did find the explanation of how we can better understand each other refreshing.

1. Increase similarity, not diversity.
2. Exploit synchrony.
3. Create healthy competition among teams, not individuals.

"The 1st step's to stop thinking so much about leadership....leadership can only be understood as the complement of followership. Focusing on leadership alone is like trying to understand clapping by studying only the left hand....it's no puzzle to understand why people want to lead. The real puzzle is why people are willing to follow."

Highly recommend this #nonfiction look at what technology does to the physical state of our brain. How does media, the web, and social media physical alter our brain? Carr explains the #scientific effects. He also explores the trade offs we make by using technology.

RamsFan1963 I remember reading this, it especially stuck with me about how your brain gears up when you're online, then gears down when you're reading. I find it hard to switch gears to read if I've been on social media too long. 3mo

What would you tell those around you if you only had months to live?
This sobering end-of-life account reminds of how we can live a satisfying life.
This book covers a heavy topic in such a light hearted way you'll want to love those you care about in a much deeper way.

This book really does a nice job of balancing summary and details about Jefferson and his time. Meacham tastefully keeps the pace moving while touching on important periods in Jefferson's life w/o getting bogged down in needless details.
This book does a good job of putting Jefferson in the context of his time and the impact he has on today.
