Somewhere, I read about the legendary illustrations in this book by Alan Aldridge, one of the most distinctive British art directors and illustrators of the 1960s, and I immediately added it to my Amazon Wish List. Lo and behold, I received it as a birthday gift a few years ago. And, I have hardly looked at the fanciful drawings. 🤷🏼♀️

I saw this book on Litsy, and loved the concept and the artwork. Added it to my Amazon wish list, and was surprised to receive it as a birthday gift! The story is inspired by the classic 1807 poem by William Roscoe. It is a visual fairytale using the illustrations of the distinctive British artist, Alan Aldridge.
