"My name is Madeleine Warwick and I'm a woman under siege."Maddie Warwick is on the brink of ruin. Several years ago, her uncle was killed in a tragic accident resulting from the negligence of treasure hunting amateurs. To stop the invasions on her land, Maddie forged a letter disproving the existence of Civil War treasure on her farm. And it worked. Until now.Enter arrogant, mysterious Professor Gregory Randall. He knows about the forged letter and can ruin Maddie with one phone call. He won't - as long as she lets him stay on the property to search for the treasure himself. It's an uneasy relationship - a relationship that only grows more tense when Maddie's first crush returns and wants to start over. But how can Maddie even think about romance when her world is on the brink of ruin? When the anonymous treasure hunters return, more aggressive and dangerous than ever, Maddie is forced to rely on Randall - the last man she can trust may be the only one who can save her.

More and more lately, it feels like its tilting more toward evil and less toward necessary.

This is one of my favorite DS9 episodes. I love the flashbacks to the Cardassian Occupation, and this murder mystery kept me guessing until the end. #unpopularopinion I never cared for Kira and Odo as a couple, it never really rang true to me.

Megabooks Very appropriate quote! I‘m not particularly happy with the government either. I thought Shaakar was Kira‘s best boyfriend. 5y
