The Paper and Hearts Society
The Paper and Hearts Society: Book 1 | Lucy Powrie
2 posts | 3 read | 15 to read
A brand new series from "the Zoella of books" - all about what happens when you give up on trying to fit in in and let your weird out! You're invited to join The Paper & Hearts Society ... get ready to find your people! Tabby Brown is tired of trying to fit in with her classmates. She doesn't want to go to parties at the weekend - in fact, she would much rather snuggle up on the sofa with her favourite book. It's like she hasn't found her people ... That is until she moves to a new town where a book club, The Paper & Hearts Society, is recruiting. Tabby might just be in luck. Enough of her old "friends" who only talk to her when they need something. It's time for Quidditch themed fancy dress parties, games like "shut up and Shakespeare" ... and LOTS of chocolate. Perfect for fans of Holly Smale and Super Awkward.

I feel like I haven‘t been on in forever! I miss you all. 😊 I will say that I pre-judged this book based on its cover. I was afraid it was going to be too juvenile for me. Don‘t make my mistake! This was definitely YA. And you can‘t go wrong with a book about a group of teens who love books so much that they create their own book club. It is the first of the series and I have already pre-ordered book 2.

This is the perfect fluffy read for any bookworm. It does have some depth as well because it addresses issues like anxiety, bullying and the dangers of social media. But mostly it‘s about a group of nerdy teenagers who love books more than anything. There is a full review on my blog - clickable link in bio. :)

vumblereads Aww I should pick up this book at the store! I follow the author on her booktube channel, she‘s wonderful. 5y
Cedricsmom Isn‘t she adorable?! I love Lucy the reader. I wish I had been her at that age. 40 years later and I am still trying to catch up. I can‘t wait to read her book but I gotta get through my summer reading list first. 5y
