Pickpick

The first half of this book was captivating- I was invested in the way that Nate's family worked, and his friendship with Merrick. It was so realistic. The book began to get slightly boring in the second half, and then the dial was turned straight back up for the last 4 or 3 chapters. Although this regained my interest, it felt rushed and sudden. Regardless, the book still managed to be a good slice-of-life story with great characters and story.

My final post of the #tenbooksonedecade series. Thanks for staying with me. 2019 was a tough year. I had health issues, my wonderful dad died and I returned to school fun time AND tried to keep all my other roles going. #sillywoman I love this confronting gritty book a lot, much as I have her previous 4, all released this decade, making Vikki Wakefield the perfect person with which to conclude. I have put this all on my blog too. And I‘m done. Yay

tracey38 I hope 2020 is much easier on you! 💛 4y
Missusb @tracey38 sometimes it‘s about letting go, right? I am a shocker for that. But I am going to try to do better. Thank you. 4y
tracey38 @Missusb I have a hard time with that, so I get it. 4y

Heart-wrenching is a go-to word to use when describing this author‘s work. I am very hopeful that title means this narrator (a young man for a change) gets a better life than what he‘s coping with currently. It‘s the only way I can keep going. #currentlyreading #preview #loveozya 🇦🇺 #septrso2019 #contemporary #tense #domesticabuse #friendship #digital
