Here is Lee Harvey Oswaldhis family background, troubled marriage, controversial journey to Russia, and return to an America [waiting] for him like an angry relative whose eyes glare in the heat. Based on KGB and FBI transcripts, government reports, letters and diaries, and Mailers own international research, this is an epic account of a man whose cunning, duplicity, and self-invention were both at home in and at odds with the country he forever altered. I have a serious problem with self control. I can usually keep it under wraps but Christmas encourages me to go wild. 🤪 This is the first of many #bookhaul s you‘ll see from me in the coming week(s).

Part of my haul from Better World Books came today. I was bummed to see that two of the books were ex library copies and the stickers were impossible to remove on the spines. 😣

Leftcoastzen See that‘s why I can‘t bring myself to order from them ! Absolutely can‘t stand ex Library, and I want an accurate grading system on books I buy. 6y
Reviewsbylola Exactly! I usually have good luck with BWB over Thrift Books, but I think I‘m done ordering books from either of them unless its absolutely necessary. @Leftcoastzen (edited) 6y
Librarybelle I loved Evelina! Hope you enjoy it too. 6y

Reviewsbylola That‘s crazy! @Cinfhen The two library ones I received were listed as “very good.” And I hate that they list one cover and then send another. 6y
