Desdemona Wainwright thinks Sam Stark looks much too calm for a man who has just been left at the altar. But she was hired to cater his wedding, not to save it. She marches into Stark's den to demand the much-needed payment for the canceled reception -- and discovers opposites do attract! Head of a multimillion-dollar company, Sam decides Desdemona would make the perfect no-strings-attached, stand-in wife, little dreaming how she will drive him crazy with desire. But when someone breaks into Sam's secret computer files, sinister intrigue swirls around this unlikely pair. Now they must discover the real appeal of unstoppable passion and unbreakable faith...in TRUST ME, the wonderful new love story from Jayne Ann Krentz!

Mehso-so

Book 8 of the year finished January 24. Audio

This was an abridged book and I never like those as much as the books with all the details. There always seem to be weird jumps that don't make sense. That said; it's pretty good, the plot centers largely around technology that is 15-20 years old: PDA's, Beepers, characters who can barely send an email, etc. But once you transport your mind back to the turn of the millenia, it's a fun and cute story.

Pickpick

This is my favorite Jayne Anne Krentz novel, an early one about an aspy tech guy who keeps getting left at the altar and the warm, creative wedding caterer who has to ambush him for a check to cover the food no one is going to eat. She takes him out that night because she can't leave him in an empty house. What's your fav JAK? #romantsy

Karenlovesbooks It's too hard to pick one! I'm addicted to the Jayne Castle books set on Harmony and the dust bunnies. 8y
EloisaJames @Karenlovesbooks I love the dust bunnies too! Elvis is my favorite--that and his stage 8y
MarriedtoMrT I used to eat up JAK books! I've moved away from romantic suspense but I loved all those earlier titles...Deep Waters, Sharp Edges, Eye of the Beholder. I don't remember any specifics but have such fond feelings! I don't think I read Trust Me. I'll have to see if I can get my hands on a copy. 8y
