4.5 ⭐- I enjoyed this new book from Bateman. So far, I haven't read one that I didn't enjoy. Her characters are well developed and I love the banter between the leads. Maddie and Gryff have wonderfully fun chemistry and there was a scene in this book which made it into my highlights! I am sure I will reread it in future when looking for that feeling again. I also loved how she hints towards relationships between supporting characters!

5 ⭐ Book 3 in series. I devoured this book! Bateman's writing is fantastic. Sebastien is the reluctant rogue who of course never wants to marry, but he's met his match with Anya. Their chemistry was rich and wonderful. The characters were fully developed and I enjoyed watching them fall in love so much. All the traditions and superstitions that were woven into the story, just makes it that much more enjoyable! It was heartfelt, funny and sweet.

4.5 Stars - I really enjoyed this book. I found the characters engaging and witty. The situation the author used was a wonderful start to the story. Watching Benedict and Georgiana fall in love was amusing and delightful. I have not read this author before but I found her writing style smooth and very easy to slip into the world being created. I look forward to Alex and Seb's stories as well as Bateman's backlist.

4 Solid Klutzy Stars. The book is light, easy to read, and get into. The characters are fun and friendly, the situations are amusing and most of it takes place in a restaurant as the main character is a waitress. I loved the little beginning chapter notes, and the way it was written as more separate scenes within the chapters. It was a “closed door” type romance. I am glad I picked it up!

Heartbreaker Bay #7

Caleb and Sadie… whoa! I just loved these two. They had chemistry right from the start! Their story was written well, all the characters are wonderful and honestly everytime Sadie went to Ivy's taco truck, I have to say I was a wee bit jealous.. her tacos sounded so good! This is still one of my favourite series. I see Ivy's story is due out in September! Looking forward to it.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This book was great! Had me laughing out loud early on and all throughout. I loved all the random texts and phone calls, creates the nice slow burn kinda feel. I liked the childhood friends aspect as well. Rana and Landon (so far I haven‘t met a hero named Landon I didn't like.. anyway) they were a fun pair to watch fall in love. ❤
🎧 Andi Arndt does such an amazing job narrating. This book was a definite win for me.

🌟🌟🌟🌟 Funny. Loved watching Reed try to get a rise out of Charlotte. 🎧 Great Narration. ❤ I recommend.

5 🌟 I love a guy who doesn't give up. Hunter knew what he wanted.. or rather who and went after her. I really enjoyed the banter between Natalia and Hunter, there were loads of sparks, tension and I laughed often, which is always a bonus. This story felt full and was easy to fall into. Izzy was also a great character, I thought she added just that little something extra.

The two narrators were fantastic as usual.

2 Stars - This was not what I have come to expect from Lauren Blakely. I found it very slow and I wasn't too keen on the leading lady. Sadly I also didn't feel much chemistry between Joy and Griffin. There were a few funny parts and the ending was nicely done. I enjoyed their happily ever after. The narrators were decent and clear spoken.

2.5 🌟 Jealousy, Lies, Envy .. with a hint of romance. This book had more lying than I have seen before in a book. Lies on top of lies. It's a wonder there was a happy ending. It did come with a side dish of romance as well- usually I like it as the main course, however, this one was sweet… once Amy got herself together

The narration was good. It was an okay way to pass time.

5 🌟This book had everything I love in a historical romance; lots of flirting and stolen glances, perfect chemistry, a dashing rake, and scenes in a ballroom (which I find surprisingly doesn‘t happen as often in recently published historicals, well not the ones I have been reading anyway) and of course a happily ever after. Also, I love Lady Vera and hope she gets her own story.
