Of This New World | 
pickAllegra Hyde is a beautiful writer and I really enjoyed this collection. There were a few stories I didn't like as much, while others I absolutely adored. Overall it's a solid collection and I'm glad I finally got around to reading it.
pickOf This New World is a collection of short stories. Just like any good short story, they each leave you wishing they were a novel. Each story by itself was wonderfully written and worth reading on its own. Each either provoked thought, evoked emotion, or both. I would definitely recommend this.

so-soI'm really struggling to see what all the praise was about. Last year was full of brilliant short story collections but this was not one of them.
Last year I was a reactor. I dropped the ball on some things (like reading) and excelled at others. I had my heart broken and minor organs removed. I lost myself some where along the way.
This year I am living for me, with books and stories and laughter.
I'm starting today.
I was gone for the weekend but when I got back, this was in the mail. Won from @bookriot and the University of Iowa Press. 😃

pick4 ⭐️. A collection of short stories with the concept of utopia at the heart of each. I'm a sucker for a good utopia, so this was a no-brainer for me. The concept is taken more broadly in this collection than I often think of it, which was suprising in a good way. Read it! It's short and sweet.
