Save the Cake | Stella Torres
2 posts | 1 read | 1 to read
Eloisa Carreon, a 28 year old cake artist, works at her family bakery. She yearns for the independence she had while living abroad, but her cautious parents and over-protective brother monitor her every move. When she is tasked to create a masterpiece for a high society wedding, Eloisa meets handsome videographer Sean Alvarez, a cousin of the bride. They discover a shared worldly outlook on life and a mutual desire to escape the excesses of the nuptials. The attraction between them is undeniable, yet Eloisa is weighed down by family expectations and emotional baggage from the past. She must decide if she should take the risk and follow her heart, before she loses her mind. And when better to do it than during the year's biggest wedding?

Some books in my TBR pile written by Filipino and Singaporean authors. Not sure if they're all #SetinSoutheastAsia because I haven't read them yet. And I have more in my Kindle! Wish I had more time to read.

tournevis @Chachic Yes they are,and impossible for me to get. But what counts is the texts. Which are great! 8y
Chachic @tournevis Yeah, they're pretty difficult to get outside of Singapore. I hope these print editions will become internationally available eventually. 8y

Pickpick

I think these three Visprint have such pretty covers. I've only read Cover (Story) Girl by Chris Mariano but planning to read the two others! Cover (Story) Girl is a sweet romance between a Filipino guy and a Korean girl, set in one of the most famous beaches in the Philippines, Boracay. I thought it was a cute and fun read.
