I tried to start this book this weekend, but I think it's just the wrong time to read this content.

This is the most boring apocalypse I've ever read about.
Seriously, the apocalypse couldn‘t have happened to a nicer, more boring group of people. Little to no conflict, easy resolutions, barely any swearing, and no sexual tension. To top it off, it was unbearably long. I found myself thinking if this happened to me, I hope I die ASAP to never be stuck with these people.
Or maybe I am just a bad person....
I can live with that.
The Last Tribe is a rare bird of a novel, a book I enjoyed immensely but not sure I would recommend to anyone but the most hardcore of post apocalyptic fans. The Last Tribe is The Stand without the good vs. evil paranormal subplot. It‘s devoid of any narrative tension or conflict driven plot. It‘s simply a story about normal decent people surviving a nearly complete pandemic without any ideological agenda. #armchairaudies #audie2017
I'm actually really enjoying this book. It's a post apocalyptic book for fans of the genre. It's regular people surviving a nearly complete pandemic. It's not about Preppers or highly trained military. There's no real action or even tension. Unlike other books like this there no religious, political or social agendas. It's refreshing. A little surprised by the Audie nom since it's just Scott Brick bring Scott Brick but highly enjoyable.
Finished The Impossible Fortress. This is up next, one of my #armchairaudies listens. 22 hours of Scott Brick.
