It‘s been a cozy morning of reading and relaxing. I had planned to garden before it got too hot outside but since it‘s pouring rain, I hunkered down with this book. I loved it! The artwork is great, the story fun, and the campiness on point. And I just learned that there‘s many more issues in the series! Lots to look forward to. 5/5⭐️

I LOVE that there‘s a villain called Bookworm! Was he in the original Adam West series? If so, I completely missed him! Mind you, by the time I started watching Batman, I probably missed a bunch of shows. Loving this campy comic so far! “Dreadful… no bouquet of decayed parchment and India inks!” 😂

PurpleyPumpkin @MemoirsForMe I completely credit you for coming across this comic. And when I went to post, I realized that you honed in on this scene too!🤣 4mo
MemoirsForMe Great minds think alike, right! 🤣 Bookworm really was a character on the campy TV series. Played so well by Roddy McDowall. P.S. You‘ve now inspired me to read more Archie mashups. I know I have more hidden on my shelves! 4mo
PurpleyPumpkin @MemoirsForMe Ahh yes, Roddy McDowell rings a bell. 🤔 Thanks for reminding me as I never would have got there on my own. I really enjoyed this first in the series and was so excited to buy the rest of them. But I can‘t seem to find any physical copies! I don‘t mind reading digital but I really enjoyed reading an actual paper copy of this. Hope you find those copies and enjoy them!😉 4mo

Oh, this Archie/Batman mashup set in the 60s was a gas, man! 😁🤭🤪 Just as campy, zany and “punny” as the Adam West TV series. What fun to see all my favorite villains flee Gotham to wreak havoc on Riverdale! And Bookworm trying to steal a futuristic invention: The Electronic Book? 😂 Nice to learn that the Batman has a love of classic literature—namely Twain, Poe and Austen!
Chalk up my Feb #BookSpin 🙌🏻
