This book is fine, but I can only spend so long listening to the justifications of self-indulgent teens with no insight who think it‘s ok to steal from others. I think this probably would have been better left as a long-form magazine article.

Megabooks It‘s better as a movie, IMO. I do like some Sophia Coppola! 5y
Cinfhen I think I did read about this spoiled squad in a Vanity Fair piece 5y
Hooked_on_books @Megabooks I‘ve seen it and I agree, though the book made me think twice about the movie. Apparently one of the thieves was an advisor on the film and many of them were excited about casting decisions. And that kind of leaves a bad taste in my mouth. 5y
Hooked_on_books @Cinfhen Yup, same author as the book. I think she saw a 💵 opportunity. I don‘t blame her (or the publisher). 5y
Cinfhen It makes for a good story! 5y

This was definitely entertaining but I noticed a lot of grammatical and spelling errors which sort of threw me off. If you‘re able to look past it and want to be reminiscent about the mid 00‘s when Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton ruled Hollywood, definitely read this.

Just rent the movie. Emma Watson is great in it.

MommyWantsToReadHerBook Haha great review! It was a cool movie 6y
Megabooks @MommyWantsToReadHerBook Thanks! I cannot overstate how boring the first 37% of this book was! 😁😉 6y

I mean.. I definitely tried.

Don't get me wrong, I love a good nonfiction book, but.. this one just didn't hold up for me. The writing was just so bland that I can't bring myself to finish it. Maybe I'll pick it up again someday.. but for now, I'm bailing

tpixie Crazy premise though!! 7y

Settling in to a bit of a casual read.. this book was gifted to me over Christmas so I figured I'd give it a go. Not particularly riveting, but I'm enjoying it as something I can pick up and put down easily, y'know?

Driven by the desire to look #glamorous like the Hollywood celebrities, and just to prove they could, a group of privileged teenagers broke into celebrity homes and stole millions of dollars worth of valuables. I've watched the movie long ago, remember it was just so-so and had no intention to read the book.

Cinfhen I remember reading about these teens in People mag....soooo crazy! 7y

I was fascinated by this, but the book was a little bit stale. #DumbAndPretty a group of rich, entitled, pretty girls (and boy) on a whim, decide to start robbing the homes of the rich and famous and... get caught. The interviews from the young men and women involved will blow your mind - they make absolutely no sense. #Day23 #OctPhotoChallenge

You know, I LOVE this movie. It was interesting to hear the real stories behind the real characters, but I still like the movie better. Because Emma Watson.
