Resisting Structural Evil
Resisting Structural Evil: Love as Ecological-Economic Vocation | Cynthia D. Moe-Lobeda
2 posts
The increasingly pressing and depressing situation of Planet Earth poses urgent ethical questions for Christians. But, as Cynthia Moe-Lobeda argues, the future of the earth is not simply a matter of protecting species and habitats but of rethinking the very meaning of Christian ethics. The earth crisis cannot be understood apart from the larger human crisis-economic equity, social values, and human purpose are bound up with the planet's survival. In a sense, she says, the whole earth is a moral community.

It's not a Sunday, but it feels like #SockSunday anyway! Wednesdays we have community events and worship, but no classes. It's a breath of fresh air in the middle of the week. 💕 (These socks are actually very long, I just fold them to make them short 😂)

TheLibrarian Cute socks! 4y
Caterina @TheLibrarian Thanks! 😊 My mom sends me cute socks in care packages from time to time. ❤️ 4y
TheLibrarian My mom buys me cute socks too! And they always tend to be Boston Terrier socks. 4y
Caterina @TheLibrarian Aww how sweet!! We've had Boston Terriers all my life, so my mom gets me socks, slippers, pajamas, and more with Bostons on them. ❤️😊 4y

Why yes, my professor did literally write the book on resisting structural evil through a Christian ethic of love as ecological-economic vocation. This course is challenging and fantastic. #seminary
