BOOM! Studios, along with visionary writer and director Joss Whedon (Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Marvels The Avengers), presents an all-new re-telling of the pop culture phenomenon Angel! Angel walks the line between two worlds; a vampire cursed with a soul, hes spent centuries battling back the forces that would destroy humanity, in an attempt to redeem himself for the crimes committed by the monster he was when he was first turned. But now, on the trail of the most recent demonic uprising, he realizes that the redemption he seeks can only come with a price. Torn between his self-sworn mission to protect humanity and his desire to rid himself of his curse, he stumbles across the legend of a demon, a trickster who claims they can cure vampirisim and restore his humanity for a small cost: a sacrifice...a Slayer. Written by Bryan Hill (Detective Comics, Hulus Titans) with art from Gleb Melnikov. Discover a brand new, modern take on one of the best and broodiest vampires in pop culture, perfect for fans and new readers alike!

Scribd cut me off after 8 issues of BtVS, 6 issues of Angel, and 1 issue of the Hellmouth crossover event.

I‘m intrigued with the Angel reboot so far. He‘s got actual stuff going on pre-Buffy, and the two of them have a pretty different dynamic once they meet. I‘m way more here for it than I was for the tortured-lovers-never-friends thing.

But WHEN will he and Cordy meet? WILL they get along? Because y‘all, they‘re my all-of-fiction OTP.

ShyBookOwl Love the boom BTVS reboot. Haven't read any Angel but I'm following the Hellmouth crossover. Great stuff. 5y
xicanti @ShyBookOwl I‘m impressed with it. They‘ve done a great job of updating things while still keeping that Buffy feel to it all. 5y
ShyBookOwl @xicanti definitely. My OTP is buffy and spike so I'm curious to see if and how that'll be developed. I'm a few issues behind 😳 5y

I am a major fan of Buffy and Angel to this day years beyond years later, so as no surprise I loved this graphic novel. I love the world, the story line and jumping timelines was great. The art is incredibly beautiful the color the likeness to the main characters. Fabulous!

I haven‘t been a big fan of the Angel comics that I have read but I did like this one. The Boom reboot is really well done. I quite enjoy and am looking forward to reading the next collected volume. Read 11/04 & rated 4 ⭐️

Mehso-so

Angel is kind of a load. He‘s one of those characters that needs people around to mock him and poke holes in his grand declarations. There‘s a social media demon possessing young women (because boys never have bad experiences online and hurt people). The girls‘ sin is vanity, for downloading an app? This book has, so far, been a bunch of old men yelling about “kids (girls) these days”. But I do like the part with the holy water balloon.
