pickTypical Patterson, CIA, terrorism, action; well written. Atypical Patterson, the main character is gay married man/father of an adopted daughter/CIA agent with a beautiful, smart female, cop bestie. The good guys win. Entertaining read.
pickI read the first one because of tv show with Allen Cummings. This one I read because I just wanted to check in with these characters.

pickI enjoyed the second book in the Instinct series. It seemed to focus on Dylan because of his CIA past, so I did find myself wanting more Lizzie. I really liked the added secondary characters (Julian, Foxx, and Dylan‘s father).

pickThis is the second in the Instinct series featuring Dylan Reinhart. I really like this series and the characters. I watched the show and really liked it, but I‘m super bummed it was cancelled. But, as usual the books are better than the show so I hope Patterson continues this series!
