"The Copyeditor's Handbook" is a lively, practical manual for newcomers to publishing and for experienced editors who want to fine-tune their skills or broaden their understanding of the craft. This book may be used for self-instruction or as a textbook in copyediting classes. The exercises are accompanied by answer keys and detailed line-by-line explanations. The third edition features Updates reflecting the 16th edition of "The Chicago Manual of Style" and the most current editions of other major style manuals. Additional updates to register technology-driven changes in onscreen editing procedures and typecoding. A revised chapter on resources for editors. Expanded bibliography and glossary. "

Spending a lot of quality time with these over the next few weeks. I've enrolled in a copyediting course through distance learning from Ryerson University. This is my first university course in over 25 years and it's going to work me hard 😳

KassKho I'm also enrolled in the program thought I haven't done this class yet 😊 best of luck! 7y
StaceyKondla @KassKho That's wonderful! Are you taking the publishing certificate through Ryerson? 7y
KassKho Yes! I started last year and so far I've taken 3 or 4 classes? I find there are more classes that I want to take then are required haha 7y
StaceyKondla @KassKho - that is so fantastic! If I didn't have to work full time and money was no object, there are a LOT of courses I'd be taking right now 😂 Such an interesting program! 7y

Finished all my work for the week! Now just wasting time at my desk until it starts snowing enough that I can justify leaving early! ❄️❄️❄️

Today is for homework and 🎃

For those who don't know, I'm currently back in school, brushing up on my editing skills. My course is all about the nitty-gritty of the editorial process in book publishing and beyond. Needless to say, I'm constantly geeking out about it. 🤓

Tav That's a great photo! 8y
