Happy to report the sequel series to Descender starts off strong. Still exhibiting beautiful art style, good pacing, occasionally violent/disturbing images, high stakes, and endearing robots. The magic is new and terrifying.

I was a bit early for an appointment so I went to a comic shop next door to browse. As tempting as they were I resisted the more recent volumes of Paper Girls & a heavily discounted volume 1 of Kirkman's Outcast, but I simply couldn't resist picking this up. The follow up to Descender (tied with Mind MGMT as greatest new to me comic series I've read this year) I have high hopes for this one.

vivastory I just noticed I'm the first one who has commented on this volume. I know @GrilledCheeseSamurai has been collecting the single issues, but I implore you..if you like graphic novels & haven't already then check out Descender. 5y
