The Anastasia Syndrome | Mary Higgins Clark
Pickpick

Mary Higgins Clark rules in writing suspense. My first time reading her, and I'm pretty impressed. I didn't expect to be so thoroughly entertained. There are five short stories, all of which are satisfying to the reader who looks for that plot that doesn't wane or let you down. The action and storyline were well woven together, and I see why she is so popular. Very fun to read. I found myself hurrying to find out what happens next.

She had noticed a phone box in Covent Garden. She would call him from there.

That moment when you realize cell phones ?didn't always exist. I was like--"Wait, what?"?

Chrissyreadit That‘s funny! I remember when cell phones did not exist. And they were expensive to use for a long while! And the brief life of pagers for people other than drs. 4y
CaffeineAndCandy Ikr! I feel the same way about pagers. I think we should bring them back. @Chrissyreadit 4y

With a combination of reluctance and relief, Judith closed the book 📚 she had been studying and laid her pen âœon top of her thick notebook 📒.
