Ghost Beach (Classic Goosebumps #15)
Ghost Beach (Classic Goosebumps #15) | R.L. Stine
8 posts | 23 read | 4 to read
Get Goosebumps with the startling repackage of a best-selling classic. No swimming. No surfing. No haunting. Jerry can't wait to explore the dark, spooky old cave he found down by the beach. Then the other kids tell him a story. A story about a ghost who is three hundred years old. A ghost who comes out when the moon is full. A ghost . . . who lives deep inside the cave! Jerry knows it's just another silly made-up ghost story . . . isn't it?!

Stine does a decent job of creating atmosphere and the feel of a classic ghost story. Siblings Terri and Jerry are staying with distant cousins on a chilly, rocky New England coast far from any town. Apart from their cousins‘ old cottage that overlooks a lighthouse, the only thing other than the beach is an old graveyard. Details of grave rubbings, Indian Pipe, & dog-eating ghost mythology add a nice creepy touch. 👻 🪦 🦴

Jerry and his little sister go to explore a cavern close to an abandoned graveyard. They make three new friends but little do they know that their new friends are the ghosts and the weird light in the cavern is just an old man hiding from the ghosts and the cavern is a sanctuary where the ghosts can't go near

Enzo.Bovo I recommend this book to boys and girls. This book is a little scary so some girls might not like it. This book has boy characters and girl characters. The main characters are brother and sister so the book is good for boys and girls. It is suspenseful and scary but also fun.I thought all of the chapters were good. 3y
Enzo.Bovo The scariest part was at the end when Jerry and Terry find out that their cousins are also ghosts. Jerry and Terry wanted to know who the ghosts were but I don't think they wanted to know now. The end was good because Terry and Jerry tried to capture the ghosts
I give this book a 10/10 because I know it doesn't seem like it, but it's actually scary. Its got good suspense in it and it is the type of book I enjoy

MissYaremcio Thank you for the review Enzo (remember that gender doesn't define what makes a person scared of something). You were missing the POV and how it is established. 4/6 3y
Enzo.Bovo @MissYaremcio the POV is 1st POV because the story is being told through one character. 3y
MissYaremcio Enzo I was just missing how the POV is established. 5/6 3y

1) I would guess R.L. Stine. Between Goosebumps and Fear Streat and now reading them with my kids, I don't think any author comes close!

2) 6- One in each of the kids rooms, 2 large ones in the living room, a small corner one in the kitchen and a makeshift one in my bedroom.

3) By topic then author.

#22 "No swimming. No surfing. No haunting."
Terri and Jerry are visiting their cousins for the summer. They live in a small beach town where there's not really a lot to do. But when some friends get together with Terri and Jerry and start telling them a ghost story involving a cave Jerry has to explore. Besides, ghosts are real...
