This book made me anxious! It‘s about doing the right thing, even if it‘s the hard thing to do. For a YA book, it was sad but has a good lesson. I loved that it takes place where I live and I didn‘t realize the author lives 20 minutes or so from me, so yay for local authors! It‘s a so-so for me because it didn‘t feel unique, and too much like a lesson for teens to learn from.

Great young adult fiction book where the main character goes through a traumatic event in the beginning of the story that leaves him traumatized wondering if he should‘ve warned who was in the red kayak. Grandpa brought this book home from the swap box at the library. I read it. Then my daughter read it. Now my son is reading it.
