Marriage on Madison Avenue
Marriage on Madison Avenue: A sparkling new rom-com from the author of The Prenup! | Lauren Layne
7 posts | 9 read | 7 to read
Aa heartfelt and laugh-out-loud romantic comedy that's perfect for fans of Sally Thorne and Christina Lauren. From the author of the New York Times bestselling Stiletto and Oxford series, Marriage of Madison Avenue is the third in a sizzling new series following the unlikely friendship of three Upper East Side women as they struggle to achieve their dreams and find true love and happiness in the city that never sleeps. 'The word charm is pretty much synonymous with Lauren Layne' Hypable Can guys and girls ever be just friends? According to Audrey Tate and Clarke West, absolutely. After all, they've been best friends since childhood without a single romantic entanglement. Clarke is the charming playboy Audrey can always count on and, knowing that the ever-loyal Audrey will never not play along with his strategy for dodging his matchmaking mother, announces he's already engaged...to Audrey. But what starts out as a playful game between two best friends turns into something infinitely more complicated, as just-for-show kisses begin to stir up forbidden feelings. As the faux wedding date looms closer, Audrey and Clarke realize that they can never go back to the way things were, but deep down, do they really want to? Filled with charm and heart and plenty of heart and wit, this entertaining series will hook you from the very first page. Look out for the other two titles, Passion on Park Avenue and Love on Lexington Avenue Want more fun, fresh, flirty and very sexy rom-com? Check out Lauren's Oxford series and don't miss her warm, witty and sexy Wedding Belles series and the I Do, I Don't series, as well as the romantic standalones in the Love, Unexpectedly series.

Third in the series & my favorite of the three. I love a good fake relationship story, but that trope is only as good as the reasons for the fake relationship & that was done really believably here. Fun & fluffy, this has been a super relaxing trio of books.

As of last night I am at 1306 pages for #OutstandingOctober which means I am 106 pages ahead of my goal. Heading into the weekend, I may kick up my goal a notch!! @Andrew65

Best of the series, read all in one sitting.

I‘m certainly on a roll in 2020 book wise. Hoping it keeps up!

The last in a trilogy of stand-alones, this friends-to-lovers romance featured Audrey &her best friend since childhood, Clarke. While not my favorite trope, I did enjoy Layne‘s spin on two best friends slowly figuring out they were in love. There were both funny &sweet moments and I thought this book ended the trilogy well. My favorite moments out of all three books were the positive female friendship it showed between Audrey, Claire, and Naomi.

I have a bad habit of getting greedy on Edwlweiss and downloading a title because of a pretty cover, which is how I ended up reading the 3rd and final book in this series. But it was sweet and romantic (not high on the steamy scale in case you care), and I love a friends faking an engagement only to fall in love trope!

kimmypete1 I read the first two and felt the same, not as steamy as her other books, but still enjoyable. 5y
