#readingafrica2022 challenge update part 2

I haven‘t posted an update on my progress for the #readingafrica2022 challenge for a month. I last posted about a month ago on this same book so it‘s easy to see my progress. About 8-9 countries to go (depending on if you count Reunion as a country, and I read an essay on Mozambique but I‘m not sure whether I‘ll count it). I‘m currently reading books for #Guinea and #Seychelles. @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB

It‘s been a while since I posted my status of the #readingafrica2022. I still bemoan the fact it is old and doesn‘t have all the current names, but I‘m even sadder it doesn‘t depict Cape Verde off the coast of Senegal, so I can‘t add striped lines to show I‘m reading about it right now.

I listened to this short story over the course of two days. It‘s about an elderly woman in #Rwanda who is remembering her childhood and describing her life now in an assisted care home. I found it a bit confusing, but mainly as an old woman her memories are confused. There are universal tidbits and one that stood out most was her losing her first tooth as a little girl. The belief that we are all reusing teeth was a bit disconcerting though. ⬇️

Here‘s my updated fiction tbr list for #readingafrica2022. Since I last posted it I have added books for #EquitorialGuinea and #Eswatini (previously #Swaziland). I‘ve posted the country for each book and possible sections in a bookstore to find them. I posted nonfiction books separately. @Librarybelle @BarbaraBB
