Pure is very unique in a good way. The world is one I‘ve never seen before. After a destructive force individuals under the dome were fine without any marks, burns, or blemish. They are known as the pure‘s. Then conversely those outside were damaged and molded to what items were left to repair them. There is also Zombie-like dust‘s that those outside the dome need to contend with.

I randomly picked up this book while I had a long wait at an airport. I don't ever have the time to finish a book in one sitting but I did with this one. Even though it is 430 pages I gobbled it up. I was immediately drawn into the world that Julianna Baggott built and enjoyed the characters. I'm always a sucker for any type of Dystopia!

The world-building is phenomenal.

Enhanced nuclear weapons have destroyed nearly everything. The survivors have been fused with whatever they were holding (or standing next to) during the Detonation, creating grotesque mutations. Pressia has a doll's head for a hand.

The Pures were safe from the Detonations, protected inside of the Dome. Partridge is one of them.

Pressia and Partridge soon find out that more than mere chance binds them.

This book deserves a 4 out of 5 ⭐ due to world building!

I just love this world, it is very well constructed.

I do believe tho there could have been more character development throughout the book

However it was still very entertaining and fun and amazingly written so, i rate this a 4 out of 5 ⭐

Loved this when I was in high school. Haven't read it since, but I'm going to assume my feelings haven't changed. I love dystopia and this one was definitely unique. 5/5 stars

Interesting premise that felt a lot like Oryx and Crake mixed with some Divergent and a good slathering of steampunk. I think her world is amazing. The characters not so much.
