HAPPY #BOOKSPIN DAY TO ALL WHO CELEBRATE!!!

Well I knew it would happen eventually and this month my pick is the tagged and a chonky boi because it's technically two books! My DoubleSpin is thankfully not a chunkster so it balances out I suppose. I'm hype to get back into reading more BS/DS choices this month.

I do enjoy fantasy series that begin in childhood, and this is one of the best.

Pickpick

This is the 2nd time I‘ve picked up this book, the first getting waylaid by the somewhat rambling storylines of the first half of the book. However, this is a classic example of persistence pays. Satisfyingly suspenseful, with prompt resolutions for those of us not bored by a happy ending. Please never ask me to pronounce any place names from this book. Excuse me while I spend several years reading the next 20-whatever books in the series.

I finally finished it and what an adventure. 800 something pages, Magician is quite a long read and can often seem daunting. But the storyline more than makes up for the length. I thoroughly enjoyed the story of Pug and Tomas as well as many more memorable characters. The fate of an entire kingdom is up in the air, but thankfully good prevails

Well worth the read 😁

Slowly creeping towards the end of this novel... Heartbroken by the loss of yet another beloved character though excited at the inclusion of new ones.
Hoping to see more of Pug and Tomas soon 🙂🌻☕️📚

Book 2...
Very curious to see what will happen next.... I am still waiting to see how Pug has faired and how Tomas is doing... will Carline remain with Roland? What is Arutha‘s next move?
Really enjoying this book 📖

Slowly getting through this book. Enjoying it more and more as I go. Beginning to fret for Pug though. I haven‘t heard from him for a few chapters other than the event of his capture being retold....

#currentlyreading Magician, by Raymond E. Feist.

Admittedly I did struggle with the first few chapters. I had a bit of trouble getting into this book. But after the initial issues I have really started to enjoy it. There are a lot of similarities to the Lord of the Rings trilogy.
So far so good 😊

I liked the story but was a bit disappointed that only 4 woman are mentioned, each only as a companion/love interest, even though one was the elven queen. That really has to improve in the next books.

ReadMe Oh, then start immediately reading The Empire Trilogy - you will definitely find women there. I just started the first book of the trilogy and I love it ! It follows the Riftwar saga and tell about the Tsurunami world 4y
ReadMe Realized that maybe you just finished the first book from the Riftwar saga, it‘s worth reading all 3 of them )) 4y
