2.5 ⭐I have to say I‘m not impressed by an author I normally like. This is a picture book by Melissa Marr, who wrote the Wicked Lovely series and other well received a series. I believe this is her second picture book, but someone needs to take her pen away. Each page or staza that starts with a cadence and then she blows the last line. Nowhere even remote. Doesn‘t even try. I‘m not saying it has to perfectly rhyme but when you start a cadence,
LibrarianRyan it should be kept up. The last sentence in the stanza trips up the tongue and is annoying. Let‘s talk about the art. This is the debut book for the illustrator, and they do a fantastic job. They hit it out of the park with this one if only the author had done their part. 6d
