pickThis was chock full of psychological suspense. I found the denouement a little disappointing but also realistic in a way. In the end, this had a lot to say about the effects of suspicion on one‘s psyche. I feel like one could read into the themes more but for me this was an entertaining, escapist, and well written story- just what I needed right now to take my mind of the stress of moving. I‘m going to watch the Hitchcock film later today.

Bookwomble @psalva That would be an interesting project! 😁 Off the top of my head, I know I've read Conrad's The Secret Agent, was an early Hitchcock adaptation as Sabotage, and also Vertigo, which was just as thrilling a read as the film is to watch. 2y
