This RF picture book is about a brother and a sister over packing because they are unsure if the bus will bring them home from school. They make plans to bring everything they may need in case the bus doesn‘t show up. The UDL Principle (8.1) heighten salience of goals and objectives would work great for students to understand how Mark and Melanie planned their goals throughout the story.

LizzettM EL strategy 3, encourage self talk would be great for the students to discuss during a read aloud to the class. They can gather information from one another. I have attached a school bus safety video so students can relate to the text.

DrSpalding Funny story! A good example of realistic fiction that students can relate to. Nice idea to include bus safety as a resource. 4y
