pickI really liked this collection of writings of Thórbergur Thórdarson. It is a mixture of all kinds of texts he wrote, e.g. novels, poems and letters. It gives a very profound overview over his literary chareer. No wonder he is consider one of Iceland‘s most beloved authors. And this is actually the most recent translation of his text - and there are not many general. I did not want to finish it because there is is nothing else of his works left.
Since this is a more recent collection of all kinds of translated texts of Thórbergur Thordarson, I had to compare the current English translation with the first one of “In Search of my Beloved” from 1967. After finishing The Swarm this is now my next read. A collection of his texts. Some parts of novels, some letters and some poems. This is the last book of any translated texts of Thordarson.
