I haven‘t had a huge book haul since this summer, so this is my stack from my last indie bookstore tour! #bookhaul #25alive @Eggs @Alwaysbeenaloverofbooks

Today is Library Shelfie Day! It‘s recognized every year on the 4th Wednesday of January. This photo is the Westminster Abbey library. It‘s been in use since 1591 and is home to more than 14,000 books and manuscripts. I would love to visit!

Texreader Ugh! How did I miss this when we were there? Is it open to the public? 4y
Lauram @Texreader I don‘t think so. I just wish I could be invisible for a few hours to explore areas closed off to the general public. 4y
Texreader @Lauram That would be so amazing. I hated I couldn‘t take photos inside. The history there is amazing. Not sure I‘ve ever experienced anything like it in my life 4y

Lauram @Texreader I agree with you! I‘ve been fortunate to make several visits to WA- I see something new each time I go. One of my visits was at the end of the day before closing to tourists. It was nearly empty and I got to hear the choir practice. I was moved to tears. 4y
Texreader @Lauram You‘re so lucky!! That sounds amazing! 4y
Lauram @texreader it‘s now open to the public! It‘s a part of the Hidden Highlights tour (as seen on Instagram). I had to let you know right away. 4y

Andrew65 @TheBookHippie I‘m guessing the cleaner isn‘t a reader. 5y

Librariana I ran across that headline somewhere and thought "Oh, I hope it was just the paperbacks!"... but no. Well-meaning... good intentions... but yes! That's gonna be so time consuming! 5y
Librariana I should explain that at my library branch, the paperbacks have their own section within their own genre. They have a genre label on the spine along with a letter label right beneath it for the first letter of the author's last name. Those I could understand alphabetizing and possibly putting in height order.... 5y
janeycanuck There must be something wrong with me - putting it all back in order sounds like a delight. But then again, I used to love shelf reading when I was my small town library‘s student page! 5y
