The recent #readingenvy #podcast discusses teenage pregnancy and adoption. I placed for adoption when I was 16 ( 10 years ago) and am glad to here this topic talked about more. I personally haven‘t read the book(s) talked about, but they sound like good reads and are accurate portrayals of the “experience”. #adoption
ReadingEnvy What does "placed" mean in this case? 6y
Conservio @ReadingEnvy i had a son when I was 16 and “gave” him to a family. Placed is a better word than gave. In the episode it was brought up open adoption which is what I did. I think your guest made a comment how much harder open adoption is, but for me I think its better! I can see him and get know him. But he also has the best family! My mom also placed with an open adoption and hers isn‘t as... easy as mine. 6y
ReadingEnvy @Conservio I'm so glad it worked out positively for you (and thanks for the clarification.) 6y
