so-soSecond in the Scorpius Syndrome (with a 1.5 novella squeezed in between), this isn‘t as strong as the first book. Raze is a man of shadowy motivation, Vivienne “Vinnie” may or may not be crazy; now they have to navigate post-apocalyptic dangers together. (Biggest complaint in comments)

ravenlee If I had to read about how Vinnie smells like calla lilies one more time I thought I‘d throw up. And how? No perfume or scented soaps in this ruined world, so she just smells of calla lilies?! So distracting it brought my rating down from a low pick to a so-so. 🙄 Also several continuity errors throughout. 3y
TheAromaofBooks I don't know why authors sometimes get hung up on one detail that they keep repeating as though it somehow makes that character feel more like a real person or something. One of the Christmas romances I read last month the female MC was literally obsessed with the male MC's lip piercing. Like, okay, I get it, you find this attractive WHY do I have to hear about it EVERY OTHER PAGE?! 3y
