Pickpick

Wow! This a mesmerizing and suspenseful true story of a Merchant Marine Captain that was taken hostage by Somali pirates. A life or death game of strategy, Captain Phillips saved his ship and crew. Well written and well read. The movie with Tom Hanks is very good, but I must say that the book is better. (I highly recommend both) 4/5⚓️s

A former Navy SEAL spoke to my son's Boy Scout troop tonight. These were some of the things he brought for the boys to see from one of Saddams houses. Some serious history there.

• I'm at the part where Captain Phillips is walking through the ship with the lead pirate and the tension is truly palpable. This whole book has been high tension and I love it. Loved the movie and halfway done with the book. Captain's quick thinking, dogged determination and astonishing bravery helped this story have a happy ending for the Maersk Alabama and its crew. Why are you not reading this book?! •

mom2bugnbee The movie was spectacular. But Tom Hanks can do no wrong in my mind. 8y
