pickDifficult to read and to get through but worth it in the end
pickDidn't love this as much as I loved Wives & Daughters, but has a compelling female protagonist in Sylvia and two relatively nuanced male characters vying for her affections. The secondary characters complete the awesomeness, especially Sylvia's tragicomic, irascible blowhard of a father.
I'm also dying to know if anyone has actually been to Whitby, the inspiration for Monkshaven, because I officially want to do a book tour. #LitsyAtoZ
