Great book but read it

First book done for #AwesomeApril. I found it to be okay. The author didn't really throw anyone under the bus, which I liked. 3⭐

Was ok. The authors seemed to be fair to all members of the royal family, but you could tell they‘re fans of Harry and Meghan. Not that there‘s anything wrong w that.

I give this book high marks not because it's totally fantastic, but because it is exactly what you suspect it is- a light look at Harry and Meghan's relationship and a rather one-sided account of their difficulties within the Royal Family. It can be eye-rollingly flattering on Meghan's side, but in not taking it too seriously, it was an interesting look behind the curtain at two people trying to navigate a system stacked against them. #RoyalRead

I enjoyed this. This couple will continue to be interesting to watch. 3/5

Reads like a novel but you gotta read it with a lump of salt

Whether you personally like them, agree with them, or not, one thing that is hard to deny is how they have been treated by the media and all the double standards they have been subjected to. As with every single person on the planet, my wish is that everyone finds peace and purpose on this earth. Each one of us has the ability to be the agent of positive change.

Taking a break for a bit of self-care before it‘s time to watch the DNC and get back to writing my capstone. Hope you‘ve all had a good start to the week.

In the beginning, I had so much hope and happiness for these two. I felt joy as I watched Harry and Meghan make their engagement announcement and conduct their first joint interview. I remember sitting in my office praying that they were the sign of a new day—both in the Monarchy and in society. I dreamed of the good those two could do in the world. Part of me worried for them, but I still felt hope. And love. And joy. Damn. We have so far to go.

I can‘t resist this book! I have read about 100 pages already. #weekendreading
