The story deals with some heavy topics but still manages to feel like a light, summer read.
I don‘t have exactly the same sense of humor as the author, but that ok because this hero is perfection

I tuned out during the business and policy talk, but enjoyed the personal stories.
Bailing at 23% in. I‘m bored. It‘s just not for me 🤷🏻♀️
I cried 3 times. This author writes dreamy MMCs. And it has my favorite: a long, drawn out epilogue 🙌🏽
You know how Kristen cries a lot on Top Chef? She cries a lot reading her book too. Most times you can hear her voice break and then it‘s back to normal, like she took a moment to compose herself.
But there was one time when they just let her cry when reading and she kept sniffling. I wanted her to stop and blow her nose.
A light and easy listen. I loved it 💕
Loosely a gender swapped When Harry Met Sally, this was kind of a slog to get through. I never really fell in love with the FMM and most of the book consisted of the couple being angry or awkward/uneasy with each other. Good ending though. And likable side characters.
Teenagers in love, first time nerves. I think I‘ll buy a copy for my sons.
The FMC and MMC reminded me of Lara Jean Covey and Peter Kavinsky (movies versions more than book versions). I was surprised to find myself in tears a couple of times.
An easy and interesting listen. I particularly liked the summaries of Blume‘s books; I‘ve read most of them but had forgotten a lot of the details.
I I did not like the style of writing: too much inner monologuing and ruminating between lines of dialogue. Short conversations felt like they took forever. But I did like the story and the Filipino and LGBTQ representation.
I only began to enjoy it once I found out that one of the author‘s inspirations for the story was a picture of Britney Spears, Paris Hilton, and Lindsey Lohan together in the back of a limo.
The story is choppy and is in need of more of an epilogue, but I enjoyed the three main characters.
Follows the formula of the first 2 books: reaping, training, the games, the aftermath. It was excellent
💔😭💔😭💔
Sweet, funny, and easy, and with a long epilogue 🙌🏽Pretty perfect 💕
It‘s just enjoyable to read about two very nice people falling in love and having everything fall into place for them 💕 The hero is fun and so in love with her 💕
Good enough to make me want to read the original novel and watch the TV series
Watched the movie after finishing the book. Both are pretty great. Will have to read the sequel some day
A lot of it was self reflections that sounded like they could have been journal entries. There were some interesting bits, but mostly I was bored.
A quick , fun read. What I LOVED was that Dan included pictures of the actual trip at the end of the book. His 13 year old self seemed like a such a sweet kid 💕
Simple and predictable, but I still want to read more by this author. Nora Goes off Script was great 💕
Lots of good advice/tips. A physical book would be much better than audio.
Scary trigger warnings, but it ended up being funny and adorable 💕
Quick chapters. Fairly interesting. Oddly, not as cozy as I‘d anticipated.
Not my usual type of thing at all, but I‘m glad I read it
Right book at the right time, I ADORED this one: sad, funny, and romantic. When I read it. When I listened to it…not so much. The hero is the nicest, sweetest guy but the male reader‘s voice was all wrong; made him sound like a creep, or a jerk.
I‘m so glad I read it before listening.
Super absorbing multi-generational story. LOVED IT! Except for the ending. As usual, I wanted an epilogue.
I was bored 🤷🏻♀️
I needed more falling in love scenes. And due to my own issues, I didn‘t like how the FMC seemed more attached to her aunt than to her parents.
I liked it a lot, but not as much as I expected to, given that I LOVED the first book.
A Hallmark Christmas movie in a book. Identical twins switch places and find love in each other‘s town. It was fine.
Fun stories from a charming maitre d‘hotel. The 1980s were wild.
Someone told me that this book had some of the best sex they‘d ever read. That‘s all I needed to know to go and borrow the book. The sex was fine, nice, ok. I‘ve read sexier. But I did really like the story (rich guy, fake marriage), the setting (private island), and the main characters (an artist and and professor)💕
This one made me feel things, both good and bad. Ultimately bad. But I did really enjoy reliving the consuming intensity of first love
Didn‘t love it as much I as I expected to. It bugged me that the heroine went from a quiet semi-loner to a big personality, but I guess death will do that do a person. I did like the ending, though.
Not the best thing I‘ve ever listened to but it had TONS of interesting tidbits
The Strick family was sometimes annoying and frustrating, but there were enough sweet and loving moments to ultimately make me glad to spend time with them
Might be appreciated by One Direction fans?
I‘m pretty sure the author could speak exclusively in TS lyrics if he had to. Nice overview for fans 💕
Omg I might have a new favorite romance author, I loved this so much. It made me FEEL! And I loved all the characters. Everyone was so ideally mature. AND there was an epilogue 🙌🏽
Maybe I wasn‘t in the right mood for this one. It was fine. I liked both the hero and the heroine. The sex scenes weren‘t great (spanking during your first night together? I‘m judgey).
I liked the heroine more than I did the hero. Found the stuff he said during sex pretty cringey; but maybe it was just the way the reader read it.
Enjoyed this one so much for its kind, mature, fun characters, and cozy vibes. I wanted an epilogue in the worst way.
I liked the first half better than the second. What stuck with me: I‘m not who I think I am; I‘m not who you think I am; I‘m who I think you think I am. So…learn to filter the views/opinions of others
This is about 12 year old Willow Chance: genius, adoptee, orphan. A weird and wonderful kid dealing with grief.
A story of a woman‘s acting and dating past, enfolded in the story of her current family life during the togetherness of the early COVID months
Didn‘t hit me as hard as it did the first time, but I still love it.
And I like the book ending more that the movie ending
